The creator of Fortnite is involved in the Ukraine conflict. Epic Games raises $144 million (£110 million) to aid victims.

Fortnite Epic Games has announced that it has raised $144 million ($110 million) in partnership with Xbox to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. On March 21, the Fortnite creator announced that all revenues from in-game sales, including cosmetic in-game items and virtual currency purchased in a store or online, would be donated until April 3rd. Xbox, which is owned by Microsoft, is also giving the fee it would normally charge for things purchased by Fortnite gamers. Epic thanked everyone who helped with its "heartfelt gratitude." Germany has issued a warning against the use of Russian anti-virus software.

In light of the war in Ukraine, the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) published a statement. According to the report, Russian information-technology companies could be spied on or pushed to commit cyber-attacks. The warning was "made on political grounds," according to Kaspersky, and it had no ties to the Russian government.
